シンガー・ソングライター/ギターのロディ・フレイムが中心となって1980年に結成されたアズテック・カメラのWEA時代の音源を網羅した『Backwards and Forwards: THE WEA Recordings 1984-1995』が本日デジタル配信となりました。一足先にCherry Red Recordsから９枚組CDとしてリリースされていました。

　フロントマンでありソングライターであるロディ・フレームが率いるアズテック・カメラは、1983年にインディーレーベルでアルバム『High Land, Hard Rain』をリリース、1984年にWEAから『Knife』でメジャー・デビューしました。『Backwards and Forwards』は、アズテック・カメラがWEA在籍時にリリースした5枚のアルバム、複数のヒット・シングル、リミックス、ライブ、オルタナティブ・バージョン、インタビューを収録しています。
